We are absolutely thrilled that NOVO’s Lindsay Branham was chosen to direct the Skoll Foundation‘s 20 Years of Impact Film, which premiered at the Skoll World Forum in April 2023 in Oxford. Lindsay was tasked with the challenge of showcasing the breadth and depth of the Skoll Foundation’s enormous impact over 20 years in social innovation and social change.

In this whirlwind production, Lindsay told the stories of #skollawardees Mindy Lubber, President of CERES creating a financial case for climate change, Raj Panjabi, Co-Founder Last Mile Health, bringing modern healthcare to rural communities, Anushka Ratnayake, CEO of MyAgro ending poverty for the world’s small holder farmers, and Lydia Wilbard, Executive Director, Learning and Engagement, CAMFED educating girls in east Africa. Their stories are woven together by Jeff Skoll, the founder of the Skoll Foundation. There is a very surprising reveal at the end.

In the lead-up to the Skoll Foundation’s 20th World Forum, and their first in-person forum since 2019, this film couldn’t simply recount the incredible history of this special gathering of world changers, it needed to culminate in a cinematic experience that would catalyze people around the vision that changing the world is possible, and worth it. The film premiered in front of 1,500 delegates working to tackle our world’s most pressing issues. After the film screened, Ava DuVernay, Al Gore and Pultizer prize winning journalist Maria Ressa spoke.

As Jeff Skoll says, “It’s incredible what good people will do if given the opportunity to be good.”

After months of filming, hours upon hours of archival editing, and travel that took the team throughout the states and to Tanzania, we are so excited to present the SWF 20 Years of Impact film.
