We undertake a rigorous research process to collectively identify communities’ challenges, resiliencies and opportunities. This discovery phase is carried out in a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive manner. We discuss what’s worked and what hasn’t and determine critical gaps.
We propose something original that addresses the specific problem set. This might include a year-long film-based curriculum or a stand alone virtual reality film.
We engage in full scale media production, from script writing, story-boarding through on-location production. Our team includes documentary, narrative and virtual reality experts. We collaborate in-depth with communities and national filmmakers. Simultaneously, we develop the engagement around the media, everything from year-long curriculums to one day workshops, delivered by trained facilitators.
From open air cinema to mobile phones, wearable devices to virtual reality, we innovate technologies and mediums to get the message to the people who need to see, hear and feel it.
We roll out interventions around the globe with partners with the capacity to carry them out.
We test ideas, measure our impact, iterate, make it better and do it again. From conducting randomized control-trial studies and focus groups to measuring physiological responses to stimuli, we combine traditional measurement methods with new ways of deducing impact to ensure everything we do is exceeding intended outcomes. We then make our findings available to the public.
